HS25-C40 is the range of devices for discharging induced transient overvoltages (Type 2 / Class II), in accordance with EN/IEC 61643-11. DIN rail plug-in format.

Ability to discharge induced voltage surges (8/20 μs).

■Suitable for the second stage of protection in supply distribution panels in which

Type 1 protection devices are installed, or for the fifirst stage of protection in residential, commercial or other applications not exposed to direct strikes and with no external lightning protection system.

■Discharge capacity with an 8/20 μs waveform. Imax: 40 kA.

■Exclusive devices for TNS, TNC, TT , IT earthing systems.

■Exclusive devices which are compatible with Power Line Communication networks.

■Biconnect – two types of terminal: for rigid or flflexible cable and for fork type comb busbar.

■Available with optional remote signalling.

The surge protection device spd 4p HS-C40 meet the type 2 requirement class according to IEC 61643-11. These devices protect low-voltage consumer systems from overvoltages of all types and are available in single-pole to four-pole versions. The use of high-performance varistors permits a rapid response time and a low protection level, without any line follow current. If circumstances are uncertain and there is a risk of fire from an overload, the internal cut-off unit disconnects the arrestor from the mains if necessary.
